Welcome to the Communications Page

Hello.  You could read that couldn't you?  Well, that's what communicating is all about—getting information out.  This website is doing that every time you glance at the page.  But how is all this possible?  You're probably sitting at home right now and laughing at what is true: you are thousands of miles away, but you can still find out what people in other parts of the world are thinking.  This idea has kept technology growing and expanding.  You wouldn't want to crudely write down "Hello world!" on a piece of paper, tie it to a rock, and hurl it across the globe would you?  NO! You would be wasting your time just by scribbling "HI" because it is much more efficient to say it in, say e-mail right?  This is the principle behind the Internet.  Here, you will read on the history of the development of communication.  We've come a long way from meaningless grunts haven't we?  So, relax, lean back, and throw away your "hello world" paper (You tried to conk me on the head with that rock and paper didn't you? Tsk tsk...)  You are well on your way to becoming a pioneer in the communication world.  Will you be the next Ted Turner or Steve Case?  Who knows, but you'll certainly know the difference between an antenna and your Aunt Enna when this is over.
