My name is Lily. I like teddy bears because-well, there are a lot of reasons that I like teddy bears, but the main one is because one of my first stuffed animals was a teddy bear. His name is Kent-Bear, and I got him when I was almost 2 years old. I named him Kent-Bear because my daddy's name is Kent.
I also like teddy bears because I love all kinds of stuffed animals. Another reason I like teddy bears is because you can take them everywhere with you, and if you ever feel lonely, they can act as your best friend for a little while.
You can also dress them up and have fun with them. I own a lot of teddy bears, but my favorite one is Kent-Bear. I sleep with my teddy bear a lot, but lately, he has been sleeping in my parents' bed. I think he likes it in there, because he never complains when I ask him how he likes it in there.
Another one of my teddies is called Pooh-Bear. He wasn't modeled after Winnie-the- Pooh, but I was 3 or 4 when I got him, and I thought he looked like Pooh, so that's what I named him.
My teacher loves teddy bears, and I got her one for Christmas. He was dressed up as Santa-Bear, and he had chocolates in his backpack. Colin, another boy in my class, got Ms. Marrero the same one as I got her a few weeks after I gave the teddy bear to her!
