There once was a Mexican girl called Maria. She didn’t have any friend’s, but the worst was she had to move to Phoenix, Arizona an American state. She was moving the next day when she was done doing her chores. Maria thought if she didn’t have any friend’s in Mexico she certainly wouldn’t have any in
Arizona because she wouldn’t
understand a thing they would say.
The whole day she complained to her mother and every
minute of the day she told her mother “ Mama please don’t
Take me to Phoenix Arizona. I don’t want to go.” Every
time her mother told her “Don’t worry you’ll make new friend’s over
there.” She was starting to get tired
of asking her mother the same thing over and over again so to calm herself down
she went outside with her Chihuahua dog to talk to him and the dog made her
feel much better.
The next
morning she woke up knowing that her mom would call her up soon .She heard a
voice calling her “Get up Maria it’s time for you to pack your bags.” When she
heard her moms’ voice she growled with anger and acted asleep. Her mom knocked
silently on Maria’s door and told her, “Ay! You still think that acting asleep
thing will work! Well too bad for you I already know that trick.”
“Huh.” Maria groaned, “Ok mama but I’m still not going to talk
to any of you. Hum!”
