 Gifts
Coastal Indians would give gifts to the opposite clans. For instance, the hosts of potlatches who were eagles would give gifts to the ravens and the ravens would give gifts to the eagles.
Gifts included food, money, Indian art, stories, blankets, boxes, masks, songs, and baskets. Baskets were used for many different things such as the burden basket, the storage basket, the cooking basket, and the huller basket.
