rolled on and it was time for Walt to go to high school. He attended high
school McKinley High School in Chicago, Illinois.
It was the 1918 and Walt was sixteen years old. Walt wanted to serve the country as an army man. The army rejected him because of his age and he took a job driving ambulances for the Red Cross. Most ambulances were covered in photographs of the drivers family, but Walt had drawings and cartoons that he had made. Walt returned to home in 1920 and soon left for Hollywood to meet his brother to make movies. The brothers started to make cartoons and eventually hired employees. On the 13th of July 1923 Walt married one of his first employees, Lillian bonds. Together they had two daughters. Then five years after the marriage Walt created Mickey Mouse. Work slowed during World War Two. After it in 1955 Walt opened a 17 million dollar Magic Kingdom. Then other parks opened up. Sadly in 1966 Walt died of cancer to the lungs. He touched the heart of millions of people and will always be remembered as the creator of Mickey Mouse, the Magic Kingdom, and the guy with movie magic.
