Biography of Walt Disney:

December 5, 1901 was not an ordinary day for Elias and Flora Disney. It was the day there son Walter Elias Disney was born. Walt had one sister and three brothers. The five children were raised on a farm nearby Marceline, Missouri. When Walt was only seven he started to make cartoons and sell them to neighbors. Life rolled on and it was time for Walt to go to high school. He attended high school McKinley High School in Chicago, Illinois.
It was the 1918 and Walt was sixteen years old. Walt wanted to serve the country as an army man. The army rejected him because of his age and he took a job driving ambulances for the Red Cross. Most ambulances were covered in photographs of the driver’s family, but Walt had drawings and cartoons that he had made. Walt returned to home in 1920 and soon left for Hollywood to meet his brother to make movies. The brothers started to make cartoons and eventually hired employees. On the 13th of July 1923 Walt married one of his first employees, Lillian bonds. Together they had two daughters. Then five years after the marriage Walt created Mickey Mouse. In 1939 Walt and his company created Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, the first full -length picture. Soon came other classics and Walt won 32 personal Academy Awards. Work slowed during World War Two. After it in 1955 Walt opened a 17 million dollar Magic Kingdom. Then other parks opened up. Sadly in 1966 Walt died of cancer to the lungs. He touched the heart of millions of people and will always be remembered as the creator of Mickey Mouse, the Magic Kingdom, and the guy with movie magic.
