Avril Lavigne is anything but ordinary. Always having her own style as a "Punk Princess," Avril caught everyone's eye with an amazing voice, even when she was two years old. Avril was always a leader not a follower, a skater-punk, and a wild non-ordinary child, with the confidence to become big.
On Avril's debut CD, "Let Go," she shows her wild side with songs like "Skater Boi," and "My World," and of course "Mobile." In songs like "I'm With You," her calmer side shows. In all of her songs, she tells you about her life and her experiences. Avril's songs also show her style and what she enjoys to do. All her songs are totally original and all her own, because that's what makes Avril Lavigne different from all the other popstars in our world today. She's not like an average everyday person, but apparently she was born for such style.
Avril always wanted to be the center of attention, so she was going to blast out of Napanee, Ontario with out a doubt. While at her home town, she would sing at festivals and country fairs and things of that sort, always knowing that this is what she was meant to do. At age 16 she left her small town with a population of 5,000, to move into a city with a population of 8 million, known as Manhattan for a little writing trip. It was there in Manhattan where she started on her hit, debut CD. Avril didn't believe that this was for her. She wasn't really feeling it like she thought she would. So it was then that Avril blasted out of NYC and went to a city called Los Angeles which gave her the perfect fresh start she needed.
In LA, she hooked up with a producer/song writer named Cliff Magness. It was then when her songs just came spilling out of her mind and she was able to guide her music in her own style and her own way. With a wonderful production team, the Matrix, Avril knew she was on her way.
With her album now completed, all Avril wants to do is play at concerts and bring her style to different places. Her music can reach girls and guys, and a few adults as well. Recently Avril has been nominated for different categories during the Grammy Awards. Her music isn't made up, or made for what people like, it's made from her heart and that's is what's going to make her big, bigger then big, she will be unstoppable! Anything but ordinary..... that's Avril.
