Recommendations
The book compared to the movie shared many similarities. Apart from the changes of the times of the events and location of them, also the reversion of some of the names of characters. Most of those changes were necessary not only in the movie, but in the book too. The movie doesn't include all of the events that happened in the book, and also some of the events in the movie are fictional, for example Abagnale never posed as a French teacher even in his high school years. The movie also changed some events around. Even for those of you out there who aren't particular pleased with the presence of Leonardo DiCaprio on the screen. The movies worth while for the magnificent performances of Tom Hanks (Carl Hanratty) and Leonardo DiCaprio (Frank Abagnale). Catch Me if You Can combines the right amount of thrilling action, and humorous comedy to form an extravagant film, that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie. The book is also an extravagant piece of work if you have a couple hours on a rainy day.
