The Case of the Robbed Jewelry Store

A Mystery by Brendan

Detective Yoga: It was April 28th, 2002 when I was called on the job to solve the case of the robbed jewelry store in Donkey Lips, NY.  The next day, I was at the jewelry store, and what I saw was not pretty.

On April 29th, 2002 people were all around the Donkey Lip Jewelry Store screaming at the owner, the guy with the big 10 inch foot, Fabious Bluff  for closing down the shop. All the people knew there was a reason because the window in the jewelry store was broken and there were policemen inside the store. Detective Yoga was also there sighting a gold watch in English on the ground with a piece of brown paper in between the wrist. The watch was also the start of a trail of jewels leading out the door. Since he didn’t know anyone in this town that was English except for Fabious Bluff, he found it quite suspicious.

As Detective Yoga inspected the place, the store owner, Fabious Bluff said anxiously, "How about you look in the backroom?"

"I’ll come back here tonight to check the back, right now I want to inspect the front room," said Detective Yoga.

3 hours later, when all the town’s people were gone, Detective Yoga finally gave up. As he walked out of the door he inspected the foot prints that were bare foot and about 10 inches! Detective Yoga took out his note pad and wrote down notes.

Then he went outside to get a taxi, but right at that moment, he sighted another clue. It was a wallet that contained an ID of a poor, but famous person, with no writing skills, Jim Morrison and 1,000,000,000 dollars! Once again, he took out his notepad and jotted down some notes, and went back to his hotel.

Detective Yoga: I was back at the hotel thinking about all the notes, I looked at the ID and saw it was a copy. The footprints were too big to be the poorest person in the town, Jim Morrison’s footprints. It was a definite setup.

It was day two, and Detective Yoga walked in the door. "Good day Mr. Yoga, shall we check in the backroom today for more clues?" said Fabious Bluff in an exciting tone.

"Yes, we shall," said Detective Yoga.

They walked slowly into the backroom. There was a note on the desk of Mr. Bluff.  Detective Yoga picked up the note a read it:

"It is me who robbed from your jewelry shop, and I am hiding now, catch me if you can----------

                                                                                -Jim Morrison

Without excitement, Detective Yoga folded the note and put it into his pocket. He then took out his note pad as usual, and began to right down more notes. Detective Yoga did not seem excited when he found the criminal or what seemed like the criminal. "You did a good job D," which was what Mr. Bluff always called Detectives. "Looks like you found the criminal!" Mr. Bluff said with excitement.

"Yes, maybe, or something like that," said Detective Yoga in a strong, serious voice.

Detective Yoga: I already know who is the criminal is, all I need is some facts to back me up, and here I have it (Detective Connell took out the letter and the note pad on the foot size).
