  • Breeding Info.:Wandering Albatross breeding takes place between November-July. An interesting fact about their breeding is the male and the female mate for life, or until one of them dies. They do not reach maturity till they are 7. This is the only time they return to land, to mate. Other than that, they rarely come to land, preferring the air.The 1 egg they lay (thats right, only one!) takes about 78 days until it hatches. After nine months period of feeding the chick, the parents will leave the baby to fend for itself.
