Habitat: The Slender Seahorse lives in the Atlantic waters of the Caribbean and Central and South America.
Description: This sea horse comes in many different radiant colers. Their body colors display almost unnatural shades of orange, red, and yellow. Black spots dot theirface and body, and pearlywhite bands are usually seen running across their back.

Breeding: The Slender Seahorse has a reversal of the sex roles. It is one of the most fascinating breedings!! The male has a kangaroo-like pouch on its vertical side in which the eggs are deposited by the female and held in the male's pouch until they hatch. The eggs are fertilized as they enter the pouch. The eggs hatch approximately after 10 days.
