Crappies (pronounced croppie) eat zooplankton, insects, and fish. They range from 8-12 inches, though some reach 15 inches.  They weigh about 2 1/2 pounds. It has a silvery, olive body with green spots. It has a high fin on their back with a similar one on its stomach.
