On the morning of September 11, 2001, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. groups of terrorists got on four passenger airplanes. America was under attack.The World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York, were destroyed by two planes, as were other buildings in the complex. A section of the Pentagon in Washington D.C. was leveled by a third plane. The fourth plane crashed in a field outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks were the worst ever against the United States of America. More than 5,000 people died -- all of them were innocent--all except the terrorists.

The government has named Saudi Arabia-born Islamic fundamentalist Osama bin Laden as the prime suspect behind the attacks.

America begins bombing Afghanistan. The goal - locate and destroy Osama bin Laden.
