The movie, Where
the Red Fern Grows is different from the book, Where the Red Fern
Grows because in the book you can read about what Billy is thinking and
it is much longer and by my opinion the book is a lot better. The book
is also more thoroughly explained and has very rich details. The movie
on the other hand is short and gets straight to the point. Either one
that you choose they are both sad but if you want to really enjoy the book,
read it before you watch the movie. One huge thing that the movie is
missing is when Little Ann falls into the icy waters of
a winter river and Billy had to jump in and get her. Overall, both the
book and the movie are both pretty good.
