Chestnut Stuffing
Put through grinder
2 cups chestnuts, canned or cooked
Add
   ½ cup milk or cream
   ¼ cup butter
   1 teaspoon salt
Mix
   ¼ cup melted butter
   1½ cup cracker crumbs
    Combine the mixtures



Cranberry Sauce
Put in sauce pan:
    1 ½ pound cranberries washed
    2 cups of sugar
    2 ¼ cups boiling water
    Let it cook for 10 min.  Watch to prevent boiling over.  Scrape off white froth, cool serves 6.

Homemade Vanilla or Dusty Ice Cream
What you will need
3 eggs
1 (14 ounces) can of condensed milk
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
If you want some toppings put 1 cup of it
2 cups of heavy cream whipped
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl beat the egg yolks and stir in the condensed milk and vanilla.  If you have toppings crush it and put it in the whipped cream.  Pour mixture into a 9 by 5 in. loaf pan lined with foil.  Cover and freeze for 6 hours or until firm. Serves 8.


meatstew

Meat Stew
1 lb. meat stew
2 carrots-cut up
2 potatoes-cut up
 1 cup of green peas
    1 can of diced tomatoes
1 beef bouillon cube
Salt and pepper
 
Cook meat stew in 4 cups of water for 30 mins.  Add carrots, cook for 30 more mins.  Add potatoes cook 30 more mins.  Add beef bouillon cube, tomatoes, and peas.  Add 3 more cups of water, salt and pepper simmer for 30 more mins.
