Diversity means difference. In preschool I was friends with 2 colored girls. When I was this little I did not even notice their difference. Now I do but I can’t do anything about it. Here at school Reggie is one of the different people. I don’t treat him any different than others. Here is a saying everyone should know to help them not treat others badly that are different: Sticks and stones will break my bones words will break my heart. Plus put yourself in the place of the person- how would you feel?

Diversity is when something is different compared to a specific something or someone else. And example of diversity is a person with black skin and a person with white skin. Another example is some people speak Spanish and some speak English. People with different cultures or religions are an example too. There is some diversity in my neighborhood and there is some diversity in my school. A kid in my class is a different because he has black skin. Another kid in my class has a different religion. Somebody else moved here from a different country and has difficulty speaking our language because he was so used to his country’s language. About the only diversity in my neighborhood is that some people are old and some people are young. It doesn't matter to me what color skin somebody has, where the originated from, what language they speak, or what religion somebody is. I like people based upon whether or not they’re nice to everyone, make funny jokes, do funny things, mean to people who are different, if they brag or not, or if they’re good or bad. I’m pretty sure my friends don’t care about diversity. Although I’m not friends with anybody who’s different, it is not because they’re different.

Diversity refers to differences. It means that when you make fun of someone just because of how they look because of their skin color for example or because of what they eat (etc.) My school and neighborhood has people who are different then I am. Then you are not respecting the diversity of people. I think people should not make fun of people just because of how they look, because they have the same insides. The differences of people do not matter to or my friends and thats a good thing. My friends don’t care how they look cause my friends are nice and we shouldn’t judge people on how they look. Some of my friends do have friends that are different from me and thats respecting diversity.

I think that diversity is when you bring together a group of dissimilar people, or a group of different people.
I play tennis and it is very fun, but when you look at all the different people, you would probably be suprised. There are people from England, Europe, and a lot of other different states and countries.
If you want to think of it this way, you could think of the Olympics. Think about how many people go there. If you look at their skin color, there are a lot of different varieties, or you could also look at their jackets (if they have one) and see what they say, you could see what state or country there from.
there are rich, poor, white, black, or maybe even people with disabilities, but don’t judge them by how they look, judge them about how their personality is, or what some of their reactions are to some things. That is what I think diversity is.

Have you judged any one by first or second glance? I have. But that doesn’t mean it’s O.K., or that I’m a bad person. It just means that sometime’s I forget to get to know someone before I judge them. You might not what diversity is, so I’ll tell you. Diversity is when someone is different from you, like the two main ones, male/female, or the color of skin.
My school ahs many different cultures. Some are African-American,Spanish, Mexican, Cuban, Canadian, Swedish, Norwegian, Russian, English, American, Irish, and German. My neighbors are Norwegian, and I’m half Russian. I know at least 100 people different from me. My parents are different from me, because they re different from each other.
Sometimes diverse people can bug me, but most I like. It really depends on their personality, not the race. So know that I think about it, diversity shouldn’t mattter, just personality, which is a whle new ball game!
