Interview with Colonel Esau
If you know someone who has been on an amphibious vehicle, talk to them, like we did. We are sure you will find it very exciting! If you don't know anyone, contact your local US Marine Corps League.

As we started learning about amphibious vehicles we realized that some were used by the U.S. Marine Corps. We began asking ourselves, "Who were the people who operated these vehicles?" To help us answer these questions we reached out to the U.S. Marine Corps League, an organization for retired soldiers. They contacted retired soldiers through e-mail, and several Marines contacted us. Colonel Dick Esau accepted our invitation to visit our school. We prepared questions for him and videotaped the interview. The interview lasted an hour. We edited the tape so you could experience the interview also. We learned so much about amphibious vehicles, World War II, and the U.S. Marine Corps from Colonel Esau, who experienced it all! We would like to share it with you.
