Change Your Surroundings

    When you are mad or someone is mad at you, you need to go to another place away from that person or group of people. 
    Don’t take your anger out on that person.  Do something else to get rid of your anger so no one gets into trouble, or worse yet, hurt.  Here are some ideas:
     

    • Take a jog or walk.
    • Leave the area or take a different route.
    • Find a different group of friends to hang around with.
    • Go shopping.
    • Shoot some hoops.
    • Go on a nature hike or take your dog for a walk.
    • Play a board game or play a game on the computer.
