Hobbes is a stuffed tiger in reality but magically comes to life only when Calvin is around. He is still learning about the ways of the human but with much difficulty. Hobbes seems to be the "second hand man" who just hangs around the leader (Calvin) and says his opinions. He seems to enjoy tackling Calvin at high velocity when he comes home from school.
