Beatrice Baily is not so excited about her twelfth birthday. This year she will find out if she is an Everyday, ordinary witch, or a Classical, important witch. Her three best friends, Teddy, Cyrus, and Ollie, are all Everyday witches. Beatrice really does not mind what classification she gets. She has already assumed she is an Everyday witch. When the Witches Institute came to her birthday, she was surprised to hear that she was going to be tested because the Institute couldn't decide her classification. Beatrice's test was to see if she could defeat the evil Dally Rumpe's spell.
