The U.S.A. Flag

There are many flags in the world but the one I'm here to tell you about is the United States Flag.
The original flag had 13 stars and 13 strips to represent the first thirteen states. The first flag was sewn by Betsy Ross. The flags nick-name is "Old Glory." The first American flag was chosen June 14, 1777.
Francis Hopkinson designed the first flag. By 1794 two more states had joined the original 13. Then two more stars and stripes were added. By 1885 more states had been added. Now the flag has 50 stars and 13 strips.
The Star Spangled Banner was written for the flag. The flag has been placed on the moon and many other places.
