Calories
Calories are in all the food we eat. The proper amount of calories for a child is
about 2,200 to 2,500 calories per day, no matter if you are a boy or if you are
a girl. The fruit group is the group
with the least amount of calories. The
“junk food” group is the group with the most calories.
There are many ways to burn calories. If you sit down quietly for one hour you will burn 72
calories. If you jump up and down for
one hour you will burn 266 calories.
Many other activities like jogging, bicycling, table tennis, and
ice-skating are ways to burn calories quickly.
Out of all those activities jogging is the fastest way to burn
calories.
You can also gain calories.
Just by eating a cheeseburger you will gain 525 calories. Some other foods with a lot of calories are
doughnuts, potato chips, pizza, and coke-a-cola. From those foods a piece of pizza has the most calories.
By eating too many calories you can become overweight. Becoming overweight cannot hurt you too
seriously.
