LSD: A BAD DRUG

 

           LSD (lysergic acid diethyl amide) is a major drug that makes up the hallucinogen class. A man named Arthur discovered it in 1938. Lysergic acid diethyl amide is the most potent, mood-changing chemical. LSD is referred to an acid. LSD is usually odorless, colorless, and bitter (when taken by mouth. Some LSD users have fatal accidents during the intoxication!!!

 

HEALTH HAZARDS

 

       The health hazards of LSD are unpredictable. The effects depend on the amount taken, the users personality, and the surrounding it was taken in. The effects start to show after 30 to 90 minutes. Dilated pupils, high body temperature, the increase of blood and heart rate, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, and a dry mouth, and tremors are some of the symptoms of LSD. Sensations and feelings change more, and this is worse than the physical symptoms!!! The emotions of the addict will “swing” from one emotion to another. If the abuser a large dose, he/she will maybe see hallucinations. Also, the users will lose their sense of time, and the feeling about them changes. A frightening effect LSD causes is when the abuser’s sensations “cross-over”. When the user begins to “hear” color”, and “see” sound they’re having a sensation “cross-over. There are many other terrifying thoughts. At some point, the addict starts to experience severe thoughts and feelings. The fear of insanity, the fear of insanity, the fear of death, the fear of losing control, and the feeling of despair. The abuser also encounters flashbacks. The flashbacks come suddenly, and it replays an aspect of the person’s life.
