HOW YOU HURT YOUR FAMILY

If you take drugs, you hurt your family in many different ways. Sometimes, certain drugs make you do things. Sometimes, drugs can make you do something crazy, such as suicide. Normally, the person is not aware of what he or she is doing. You may hurt your family because you might “accidentally” hit or shout at your siblings/parents for no reason. This can physically and emotionally harms your family. Soon your parents will become worried about you.

Drugs can also do harm to people OUTSIDE your home. Life-long relationships with friends can break when the drug affects your mind and you join a gang of bullies. Also, teachers will be hurt, because they hate to see a student failing in class. The drug will poison your mind, making it difficult to pay attention.

WHY DO PEOPLE TAKE DRUGS?

There aren’t really any REASONS why people start taking drugs, but there are a lot of EXCUSES for people to take drugs. Here are a few excuses:

·                 To get back at parents

·                 Because everyone else does

·                 To avoid dealing with problems

Just because everyone else takes drugs (smokes), is the lamest excuse ever to smoke. If everyone started to jump off a cliff, would you do the same? I don’t think so.

Sometimes, the addict smokes (takes drugs) to get back at his/her parents. That’s also a semi-lame excuse. There are many other ways to deal with a parent problem.

To avoid a problem is a stupid excuse. If you try to forget the problem, it will just grow, and grow, and grow… You get the idea.

Pretend you’re a police officer. Your driving down a road called “Trisha Road”. Suddenly two cars crash. Nobody gets hurt though. You know you should take care of the problem, but instead you chose to ignore it. Soon more cars crash, and some people get hurt. Now, instead of a small problem to take care of, you have a HUMONGUS problem to take care of! Now you know what I mean about a problem growing.

There will never, ever be a reason to take drugs… only excuses.
