Volcanoes

Volcanoes are very dangerous.  Volcanoes can poor lava from its top and drown a city burning hot molten lava.  Lava might be the hottest substance on the Earth.  Some cities have been covered in lava and all the people have been burned to death, or some have been hit by flying rocks from the sky while trying to escape on boat.  A volcano is the second most dangerous natural disaster.  There were a lot of active volcanoes back in the B.C. times.  Mt. St. Helens was a volcano that erupted not long ago.  When Mt. St. Helens erupted the volcano took off half of the southern part of the mountain.  It was a huge explosion, it wiped out all of the trees and when the lava went into the river all of the fish died because it was so hot.  The fish would float to the top of the water and the next day the people would have to clean the river because it was infested with dead fish.  Krakatau was another volcano that erupted along time ago.  The explosion was so loud it could be heard round the world.  The shock wave of the explosion was so big it tore the island into three pieces.  Two of those pieces were found but the other one has not been found yet.  Krakatau exploded back in the B.C. times.  Mt. Venues exploded a long time ago, before Krakatau.  The explosion covered the city of Pompeii, Italy in ash and hot molten lava.  It would not be very fun to be covered in lava because you would be bone in one minute.  Volcanoes are no fun and we hope there aren’t any more in a very long time.
