Police officers

Police officers have a direct impact on everyone's life. Their main goal is to help and protect the community, even if this sometimes means that they have to risk their own lives.
Police officers are required to have a high school diploma and no criminal records. They also have to study physical education and psychology, and develop personal skills such as: leadership and management. Police officers have to go through a psychology test and take many classes to keep certification. They work indoors and outdoors.
Police officers don't make as much money as many people think they should. They start out with about $24,030 a year which is not much if you think of all the dangers and risks they encounter. But as Police Officer, Chris Funk, said '' If you go into law enforcement don't do it for the salary, do it because you have an interest for it''
