Medical Assistants

Medical assistants work to provide the doctors the help needed to be able to treat a patient.  They gather all the information from the patient  that the doctors need to know.  They also help taking the patients temperature, blood pressure, and administer shots so that when the doctor comes all the information can be given to him.

Medical assistants specialize in biology and math.  They need at least a high school diploma and some postsecondary training.

Medical assistants need to develop personal skills such as: helping and teaching.  They work primarily indoors, and make about $14,500 to$21,000 a year.
