How the Ear Works
The ear is the part of the body that allows people
to hear. The ear has the following parts:
Outer ear
Outer ear flap
Ear canal
Eardrum
Middle Ear
Ossicles bones
Stirrup
Hammer
Anvil
Eustachian Tube
Inner Ear
Cochlea
3 semicircular canals
Utricle
saccule
The ear works like this: Sound waves travel through the ear canal
and vibrate on the eardrum. The eardrum vibrations go into the three
bones. The bones also increase or decrease the sound. The bones then
transmit the vibrations to the semicircular canals. The vibrations
then go to the cochlea, which then puts the vibration in to nerves
by the liquid in the ear and is sends it up to the brain.
