Excalibur

Now that Arthur has become king, Merlin became his most trusted advisor and best friend. Together they began to right all wrongs of the kingdom since the death of Uther Pendragon. many Nobel refused to obey Arthur. They said "Why should we listen to someone who was just a serf or peasant?"

Merlin quickly replied: "He is your true and rightful king, the only son of Uther Pendragon. I hid him away on the day of his birth!"

After that most of them pledged their loyalty to him, but some still refused. One day a rebellious knight challenged Arthur. He and Arthur battled fiercely until they were both weary and covered in blood. Then they fought again, only this time a mighty blow caused Arthur's sword to break in two.

The knight was about to cut off Arthur's head when Marlin spoke: "Do not strike, you are about to kill the King of England!" As the knight lifted his sword, Merlin cast a spell over him and he fell into a deep sleep.

Them Merlin took Arthur into an enchanted place called Avalon. There in the middle of the lake, an arm arose out of the water. The arm held a mighty sword that had a jeweled case. " This is the sword Excalibur" sad the Lady of the lake. "As long as you wear the case to the sword you will never shed any blood."
