The Birth Of King Arthur
Story
In the ancient days there lived a noble king named Uther Pendragon. He fought many wars bravely, defeated all his enemies and became the lord of all England. His trusted advisor was a sorcerer named Merlin the Wise. With Merlin's assistance, Uther Pendragon was known for justice and mercy.
After many years he took his wife, a beautiful gentle queen named Igraine. She was a widow of Gerloise, the Duke of Tintegal. She brought with her two daughters, who caused king Arthur much trouble.
In time, Uther Pendregon found out he was to have a child. Merlin came to him in secret and said to tell no one about this baby - "It must be a secret".
Soon a healthy baby boy was born and Merlin told Uther Pendragon:" I feel that you will die shortly and the child will be left defenseless against your enemies! Please let me hide him until he grows to manhood and then he will gain his honor".
A few months later Uther Pendragon was seized with a sickness and died. The kingdom was run by thieves and wicked knights. Injustice ruled in the land and the people wanted a king.....
