One day during a feast Merlin met a beautiful maiden named Vivien.  She had a magic ring that she tricked Merlin into wearing. He tried to take it off, but he could not, because the ring attached itself to his fingers. He instantly fell in love and taught her all the magic he knew.   The ring kept Merlin from seeing that Vivien was an evil witch. He took her to town where people were buying and selling things they made, and bought her everything!</div> <div> Next he took her to a private place to teach her all the magic he knew and then they traveled to her father's kingdom. There her father threw a great feast and Vivien made a powerful sleeping potion and poured it into Merlin's glass of wine. After he finished his wine, Merlin realized that hr had been tricked:"Help, help! I have been betrayed", he cried in agony. He tried to sit, but he fell backwards. When Merlin fell into a deep sleep, Vivian put a spell on him that bound him into the web of enchantment.</div> <div> Vivien used her magic to make a castle disappear and created a mist that human eyes can never see through. Merlin was never seen or heard from again.  Vivien said there was not enough room in the kingdom for two great wizards!</div> </td> </tr></table></body>
