One of the problems that occurred during Roosevelt's second term in office was the Alaskan Boundary Dispute. The question was where a proper boundary should be placed between lower Alaska and Canada. Before it came to a show of arms Roosevelt came to tribunal to arbitrate the dispute because the United States representative was his trusted friend Henry Cabot Lodge. The tribunal backed the U.S claims in 1903.
