David A. Adler was born in New York City and received his B.A. from Queens College in New York City in 1968 and his Masters in Business Administration from New York University in 1971. While he was a math teacher for nine years he worked on his Ph.D. in marketing when he got his first inspiration to become a writer. After he was married in 1973 David and his wife Renee had their first child in 1977. At this time he took time off to stay home with his first baby Michael and during this time he wrote his first Cam Jansen Mystery, CAM JANSEN AND THE MYSTERY OF THE STOLEN DIAMONDS. This mystery was based on their new baby and all the things that he had to take with him when he was going to take Michael outside. Currently, David Adler is still married, he has 3 sons and a daughter in law and has authored over 160 books.
In Cam Jansen and the Birthday Mystery they go to a birthday party and Cam can’t find her mom so they call her up and she does not answer. The characters are in the story and Cam Jansen, Eric, Mom, Dad, Granny, Grandpa, Mr. Jansen and Mrs. Jansen. Cam Jansen and Eric try to solve mysteries and all the rest of the characters wonder what they do. The setting takes place everywhere. They never stay in the same place for he setting. To get the solution for this story you need to read this book. One clue is that they help each other from getting hurt.
In Cam Jansen and the Chocolate Fudge Mystery, Cam is involved in another mystery. In this story the characters are Cam Jansen, Eric Shelton, Jacob and Mrs. Miller. In this mystery, David Adler finally tells us where Cam got her name. Cam, who has a memory like a camera, is given her name for her photographic memory.
In
Cam Jansen and Triceratops Pops, once again the main character Cam
tries to find out how the dinosaurs died. Eric, Cam’s Friends help Cam
solve the mystery. The characters are Cam, Eric, Cam’s Mom and Dad, and
Eric Mom’s and Dad. The story takes place in the mall. The main events
that take place in this story is trying to solve a reptile mystery,
footprint mystery, and a movie mystery.
