The Baby Sitter Club books by: Ann M. Martin

Ann M. Martin enjoyed babysitting a lot when she was growing up in Princeton, New Jersey. She now lives in Manhattan in an apartment, with her cat and mouse. One of her favorite foods is ice cream. She likes to go to the beach, she hates to cook, and she likes the show. “I Love Lucy.” Ann went to Smith College when she was younger. By the age of 10 she loved books. Before she started writing books she wanted to be a teacher. She also taught young adults in college for one year. Ann's least favorite subject in school was math. Her hobbies besides writing children’s books are reading, sewing, making clothes for children, and doing needle work. Her favorite type of music is classical music, but she needs absolute silence to write books. She started to baby sit when she was 10 years old. Ann M. Martin wrote about 120 Babysitters Club books and about 100 Babysitter’s Little Sister books!

All of the characters that she writes about in her books are made up. One of the reasons she started to write Babysitter’s club books is because her editor suggested that she should write a series of books about 4 teenagers in the babysitting business.

Kristy and the Missing Child

In “Kristy and the Missing Child” Jake is missing and nobody can find him. The main characters are Kristy, Stacey, Bart, Claudia, David, Michael, Karen, Mallory, Haley, Matt and other characters. These characters are searching for Jake Kuhn who is mysteriously missing. They look all over for him. Through part of the story Maryanne was having trouble in school, but through most of the story the baby sitters club was looking for Jake. Where is he? Was he stolen? Read the book and find out!

In Stacey and the Missing, Stacey is babysitting at the Gardellas’ house. They are missing a diamond ring and they can’t seem to find it. So they accuse Stacey of stealing it. My Opinions:

My favorite Babysitters club book is "Stacey and the Missing Ring.'' It was exiting and it made me want to get to the end of the book and find out what happened to the missing diamond ring.
