        Description:

A killer whale can be named Orcas or Orcinus. They are black and white in color and their length can be 16 to 22 ft (4.9 to 6.9 m). Males are bigger than the females. They weigh 3,000 to 12,000 pounds. They can travel at speeds of 30 miles per hour!  Lots of people think there unsafe and dangerous because of their name.  There size is about the size of 4 people that are 4 ft that are combine all together. Most babies look a little pink when they are born. When they move place to place it is called transient. They can live for 25 to 35 years.

 

Where and How the Killer Whale lives:

Killer whales eat squid, seal, fish, sharks, sea lions, turtles, birds, and other whales. They hunt together so no body gets hurt.  Killer whales live in the Polar Regions. They communicate with sounds. The killer whale is one of the largest predators in the world. When they are in groups it is called a pod. They belong in the dolphin family. They are mammals. They are use for entertaining. They live in the South Pole and North Pole. They breathe with their blowhole. They can dive as deep as 200 ft. long. They only communicate by screams, whistles and pulsed calls.
