STEGOSAURUS  

        Do you like dinosaurs? If you do, boy we have a treat for you. You are going to learn about a creature that roamed the earth eating tones of plants, Stegosaurus. Well then, keep on reading to find out more!!

        Have you ever seen a live stegosaurus before? I hope not because they don’t exist anymore! The Stegosaurus is a creature that weighs over 4 tons, and is 20 ft wide. Their width would be like 4 women laying head to toe. Now you have a nice idea of how wide Stegosaurus really is!

        On its back the Stegosaurus had were 4 big spikes, which is to protect itself morning and night. Stegosaurus was an amazing creature with a stomach big as an Asian Elephant. Even so the brain of a stegosaurus was the size of a walnut. Stegosaurus wasn’t very smart because of his little brain. Then largest known Stegosaurus was 25-30 feet which is longer than a school bus.                                                                         

       The first Stegosaurus was discovered in Colorado by MP Flech in 1877. Guess what? The stegosaurus swallows its food whole! Do you know what the word Stegosaurus means? It means “Planted Lizard”.
