Italy is one of the most crowded country in Europe. It has a population of about 58 million people. much of Italy's land is mountains so farming is very difficult in these areas but they still manage to produce a lot of food.
History:
The history of Italy is very interesting here is how it goes. Over 2,000 years ago Romans ruled Italy soon they found out they were very good cooks, many of Italy’s food today can be traced back to Roman times, and in the fifteenth century European explorers reached the Americas and brought back foods that had never been seen before in Europe like tomatoes, corn, potatoes, and sweet peppers.
Food:
Salami is a spicy sausage, which was invented in Italy. Soon, many other countries copied the recipe. Like some other countries potatoes are grown in Italy. At first potatoes were brought from Peru, then they put them in Italian gardens as decorative plants… but then they found out they were good to eat too. Have you ever noticed that most tomatoes are red and round, but Italian plum tomatoes are red…but they’re long and thin instead of being round and plump.
