Mara, Daughter of the Nile

By Eloise

Rating: *** 3/5

Review: This is a story that takes place in Egypt about a slave girl, Mara, who plays a double spy.  Also, this tale has a bit of romance weaved into it.  Read this intriguing story of adventure, romance, and the land of Egypt.

Big Mouth and Ugly Girl

By Joyce

Rating: ***** 5/5

Review: I thought this was a great book.  It was all about a boys’ big mouth and a girl thinking she was ugly.  It starts out when the boy, Matt, jokes about ‘blowing up Rocky River High’ and ‘massacring a few hundred people’.  Two witnesses hear and tell their father, who tells the police.  Matt gets in trouble.  The girl, Ursula, actually heard what Matt said, and defends him.  I think everyone should read it!

The Princess Diaries

By Meg

Rating: ***** 5/5

Review: This was a really good book.  It is about a girl, Mia, who doesn’t know she’s a princess.  When she finds out, she is forced to have princess lessons from the dowager princess, her grandmother.  Although this has been made into a motion picture, it is totally way different than the real book.

Princess in the Spotlight

By Meg

Rating: **** 4/5

Review: This is another great book about Mia Thermopolis, who finds out she’s a real princess!  The princess lessons, fame, and family matters continue, while being a completely different story at the same time.

Silverwing

  By Kenneth

Rating:  *****  5/5

Review:  Silverwing is one of the best books I have ever read.  It is a great adventure that makes you never want to put the book down; I stayed up way past my bedtime reading it!  Usually I don’t like any type of an adventure book, but this one changed my mind.  I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good book to read.
