Soccer, a game with 11 players to get a ball into an opponent’s goal. To play soccer you must have shin guards and cleats without metal on the spikes. There are many different positions. You need to have offensive players, midfield, defense and a goalie. The maximum players on a field are 11 and the minimum is 7.

Soccer is fun but it can be rough. If you get hurt it will mostly get hurt close to the ankles, the knees, and hamstring strains. Ankle strains because everybody is kicking low for the ball. If you miss the ball and kick another person that person could get hurt and you could get a foul. Knee sprains because people slide tackle and their feet go up and kick them in the knees. Also sometimes people try and kick the ball while it’s still in the air. Finally hamstring strains because kids sometimes don’t stretch well enough. Those are the reasons of common injuries.

If you play soccer then you have to protect yourself. If you want to protect yourself you must have the proper equipment, behavior, and stretching. If you don’t have shin guards you could get kicked hard in the ankle, and you could sprain or break your ankle. If you don’t have cleats then you won’t get the proper gripping, and you could twist your ankles. If you want to be to be a good sport you have to have the right behavior. You might not be a good sport and say something mean to the other player and you could start a fight and get hurt. Finally if you want to play good you have to stretch. If you don’t stretch your legs and body won’t be warmed up. You will play bad too. That’s what to do if you want to play safe.

We think that people should use mouth guards because a lot of people lose permanent teeth when they get hit. You should probably wear a cup in case someone hits you there. You should also always stretch before a game, you often will pull a muscle if you do not. Also you should wear ankle protectors on your shin guards because most injuries happen on the ankles.
