The most common injuries in hockey are concussions, leg injuries, and
neck injuries. They occur when you are checked, boarded, high sticked, tripped,
or when you slam into the net or another player. How do the refs deal with
injuries? They penalize the person for 1:30, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 10:00, or
give you a game misconduct.
How do you protect yourself? Wear the right equipment (if you want to know what type of equipment is needed, look back at the list) and don’t get into or start fights. In old times if the goalie come out of his/her designated spot, he/she was allowed to be checked. YOU MUST RESPECT THE COACHES, MANAGER, AND REFEREES. Always stretch before a game.
NEVER use street hockey sticks in ice hockey! Always pay attention to what you are doing. BE CAREFUL.
