World War 2
In 1939, World War 2 began. In the 1930’s Japan, Italy, and Germany also known as the Axis, started taking over other countries. In 1939 Germany took over Poland. Britain and France had had enough and declared war on them. In 1941 the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. The U.S. went to war against the Axis the next day. In 1943 Italy surrendered to the U.S. but the Germans still fought hard. D-day was a major invasion of France by the Allies. The mission was a success and after a couple more battles in Germany the war had ended and the Allies had won.
