Chapters 13-14
In chapters 13-14, Annemarie’s mother broke her ankle. While they were sitting on the porch, they found a package. Annmarie’s mother told her to put it in a basket and hurry. Her mother told her to bring it to Uncle Henrick and go fast. As she was running, she heard something behind her but realized it was only critters. Then she heard a growl around the corner. Then out of nowhere four soldiers and two dogs were standing in front of her.
