Web Designers are the lead technology person on a team of Internet professionals. The do the creating of the web pages and house all HTML files.
Web Developers must have a good knowledge base in current Internet standards, expertise in languages such as HTML or Javascript, a good background in desktop publishing software, an understanding of programs like Adobe Photoshop, etc. They also must be experienced in managing a web site and its content. Good written and verbal communication skills are a must in order for them to perform their duties.
Web programmers must be able to write code that is consistent throughout their work, be able to create web pages, maintain large databases, and repair any codes in need.
Web producers are typically responsible to build programming within a company to meet that companies needs. They should be creative and motivated people. They ultimately are responsible for a company's growth online. These individuals usually have a degree in Communications, Advertising, or IT/IS. They can have a combination of both education and experience in this field. Web producers should also have a solid background in HTML, XHTML, CSS, and Javascript. A full understanding of Adobe programs is also necessary.
