The center or the core of the sun is very hot it is 6000 k. Nuclear fusion produces a lot of energy. Some of this energy travels into space as heat and light. Some of it arrives at earth. Streams of gas particles known as the solar wind also flows out from the sun. It is 0.7x10 km.
