MERCURY
Mercury is so close to the sun, that if you try to look at it through the telescope your eyes will get hurt. Its surface is rocky and full of craters. It has a core and mantle, just like Earth. Its core is very hot, but is cooling down.Cooling down makes its core shrink. There is no air or life on Mercury. Days are extremely hot because of closeness of the Sun. But, the nights are freezing.

VENUS
Venus is covered with thick clouds. Venus is easy to see because the Sun reflects from the clouds. It has flat surface, covered with rocks and lava from volcanos. It is very hot because the clouds trap the heat. There is no water of life.

EARTH
Earth is the only known planet that has life on it. From the space it looks like a blue and white ball. The Earth's axis is tilted, which makes the weather change. This is why we have seasons. Earth's inside is made of core and mantle. Core is hot layer of molten iron. Mantle is a hot layer of rocks. Earth is surrounded by an atmosphere that is made mostly of nitrogen. Atmosphere has oxygen in it which allows us to breathe.

MARS
Mars is called a red planet. On its north pole it is covered with ice. On the south pole it is so cold that the gas freezes and falls down like a snow. Mars has seasons because it is tilted on its axis. Mars has a thick core made up of rocks. These rocks contain in iron and that makes Mars red. Mars also has big mountains made of lava and red sand dunes. Mars has many volcanos
