Native American Indians used bows and arrows, stone bladed knife, a bow case, and tomahawks. They used these weapons to hunt their food and fight in war. They mostly used bows and arrows when they hunted. For less weight they combined quiver and bow case. This quiver bow case was made of buck skin. Bows were the most important weapons they had. The arrows were made off buffalo bones.
There was a time when Indians started getting guns after the white man came. However, when Indians hunted buffalo they preferred to used bows and arrows instead of guns because they were quieter.
Many tribes were experts at crafts. Some used clay to make bowls and pots for cooking and storage. Some tribes were experts at weaving and are famous for there designs. Still other tribes are famous for their skills in basket weaving.
Native Americans lived in many different types of homes. Some lived in tepees others in log homes, and still others lived among the cliffs and in adobe buildings.
