Little Gold Star: A Spanish American Cinderella Tale

Description:

Teresa is cruelly mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters, Inez and Isobel. While she is in the woods, she meets a Lady in Blue who tells her to go a hut. She treats the old man and baby kindly, so she is rewarded by the Lady in Blue with a gold star on her forehead. Her stepsisters are jealous and want a gold star. They go into the woods, but they mistreat the old man and baby. Instead they are rewarded with donkey ears and horns. When she goes to Don Miguel's ball, Teresa and he fall in love. Don Miguel searches for her. After he finds her, she refuses to marry him without her stepmother's permission. The stepmother gives her impossible tasks, but she is able to complete them. After the wedding, the stepmother and stepsisters undergo a change themselves when they become nicer people.
