The Grimm brothers books were very popular and they still are. Children everywhere still read them, and everyone loves their books. I can't believe that they wrote all the fairy tales.

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm lived in Germany, they named their stories Children's and household tales. The books were published in 1821.The table of contents includes popular fairy tales such as: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzle, Rumple Stiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, and The frog prince.

The Grimm Brothers wrote all 210 books. During their lifetimes the collection sold mostly in Germany. At first only a few hundred were sold a year. The early editions were not even aimed at children. Jacob and Wilhelm did not view themselves as authors of children's stories. The Grimm Brothers undertook the fairy tale collection with the goal of saving the endangered oral tradition of Germany.

The Grimm's fairy tales have become popular books for children. The stories tell like dreams come true: Handsome men and beautiful woman, Armed with magic, triumph over giants and witches and wild beasts. And parents keep reading these stories because they like lessons they teach such as: Keep your promises, Don't talk to strangers, Work hard, and Obey. For parents a collection served as "manual of manners".
