Deserts of the World
The word desert is defined by how much rainfall a certain place gets in a year. As so, many people think that the Sahara is the largest desert in the world but in truth, the largest desert in the world is in the Arctic. It gets next to nothing in rainfall a year. The only thing that it gets that falls from the sky is snow. The Sahara gets about four inches in rain each year.
