There are lots of animals in the Badlands. There are prairie dogs. The live in holes. They come out and play. Farmers do not like them because their animals step in the holes. Big horn sheep live in the Badlands. We saw a big horn sheep. Their are lots of birds. one of them is a magpie, also called a camp robber. They try to get your food when you have lunch. Buffalo and bison live i the Badlands. These animlas were important long ago to Indians because they used them for shelter, food, clothes, and blankets. Rabbits and other animals live in the Badlands.
