Cheetah

Description

The Cheetah's scientific name is Acinoyx jubatus. The Cheetah lives in all parts of Africa where there is not many trees. The Cheetah is a long, lanky cat. It has dark spots and yellow goldish fur. The Cheetah is a fast cat , it has to be to catch its prey.

The mother cat is very defense. To draw its cubs to her she chirps. Cubs have gray puffy fur that is 3 in. thick until thery're about 3 months old. This helps the cubs look bigger to predators.

The cheetah claws do not retract like other cats.They use there claws for extra traction when running.
